Scar revision

A scar revision procedure can make a scar (caused by acne, trauma or surgery) less noticeable. Depending on the indication and location of the scar, the surgeon will decide how to make the scar less unattractive. This can be done using various techniques such as excising the scar or applying a chemical peel.
With the help of dermopigmentation (permanent make-up), pigments can be added to colour the scar tissue. This tries to mimic the natural appearance of the skin, as a result of which the scar becomes almost invisible.
